Youwillbedrillingintoacurvedsurfacesoslowlydrilldeepenoughtomarkthefulldiameterofthebit. Thiswayyoucanfreedrillwiththenextbit(tapdrillsize)withoutdangerof“traveling“. Removethechuteassemblyanddrillstraightbackandlevelwiththe11/64“Black&Decker“Bullet“drillbitallthewaythroughthemetal. Cutthethreadswiththe5mmx.80metrictapusingdishsoapwithwaterasalubricant;NOTcuttingfluid. Tomountthemotorcoverpositionitcorrectlyandcenterpunchthescrewpositions.Drillholeswiththechosenstandardbitdeterminedbythechoiceofscrewstobeused(seeoptionsabove). Forthe“upgraded“screwstapholesandcarefullyrechamfertheholesinthemotorplatewiththecountersinksothatthephillipsheadsfinishflushwiththeplatesurface. Thisisaworthycosmetictouchsousecareastheplateisaluminum. Youcannowmountthemotorcoverandthechuteoveritandgrindaway.
